Old-school outdoor dance in the wooden house district on the Night of the Arts 25.8
Welcome to the most atmospheric inner yard in central Helsinki on the Night of the Arts, Thursday 25 August. To celebrate the jubilee of Finnish fold dance, the balmy August night will feature lessons in traditional Finnish dances jenkka, polka and mazurka at 6 p.m. and an old-school outdoor dance from 7 to 9 p.m. The Spelarit band will play at the dance and the Seurasaari Folk Dance Commission will give a short performance. Free admission to the single-room homes in the Worker Housing Museum from 7 to 9 p.m. The Alppila Society will sell snacks and drinks during the event.
